How it works

Three steps, one verification, every application after that is instant.

  1. 01

    Build your profile

Personal details, employment, income, references, and rental preferences — entered once, structured the way landlords need to see it.

  2. 02

    Get reviewed

Upload your ID and supporting documents. A member of our team — not an algorithm — reviews everything within 24 to 48 hours and issues your Blue Tick.

  3. 03

    Share one link

Send your Passport link to any landlord or letting agent. They see a verified profile in their browser — nothing to download, no account needed on their end.

Forty applicants per viewing. Be the easy yes.

In Ireland's rental market, the landlord's problem isn't finding applicants — it's checking them. HomePass does that groundwork before you ever walk in, and keeps you in control of every piece of it.

A live link you can switch off

Your Passport isn't a PDF drifting around inboxes forever. It's a live link — turn it off the day you sign a lease and it goes dark for everyone, instantly. Turn it back on for the next search.

Documents on a need-to-know basis

Payslips and ID live on a second, separate live link with its own switch. Show your Passport widely; hand the sensitive documents only to the landlord you're actually proceeding with.

Nothing for the landlord to join

Landlords and agents open your links in any browser — no HomePass account, no app, no password. The person deciding between forty applicants gets your verified profile with zero friction.

The groundwork, already done

Identity reviewed by a person, employment confirmed by your employer, reference signed off — before the viewing. While others promise paperwork, you've already shown yours.

Letting agents: keep your system. Add what's missing.

HomePass doesn't replace your ads, your CRM, or your bank. It slots in alongside them and removes the paperwork they don't cover.

Your ads stay where they are

Already advertising on Daft, MyHome, or your own site? Paste the text of an existing ad and HomePass pre-fills the property for you — live today, takes about a minute.

Verified applicants, not more admin

Applicants arrive with an independently reviewed Passport — identity, employment, and references already checked. You read one verified profile instead of a folder of PDFs.

Nothing to migrate, nothing to learn

No data import and no new CRM. HomePass is a browser tab that sits beside your existing process — and the landlords you work with can view any passport without creating an account.

The compliance you're liable for, automated

Rent books are a legal duty on every tenancy that most systems ignore. HomePass is building them in — generated from the signed lease, maintained automatically. Preview below.

Coming with the HomePass Lease Record

A rent book that keeps itself

Landlords are required by the Housing (Rent Books) Regulations 1993 to give every tenant a rent book. HomePass will generate yours automatically from the signed lease — and rent payments will record themselves against a unique payment reference, so you only look when something needs attention.

  • Generated automatically when a lease is signed
  • You set the rent due date — the tenant confirms the details
  • Payments matched to each tenancy by its payment reference
  • Download a dispute-ready rent statement at any time

Verification you can point to

A Blue Tick is only issued after our team has reviewed the evidence. We're not a credit bureau and we don't make tenancy decisions — we give both sides a clear, independently reviewed record.

Cross-referenced
Employer responses are checked against what the tenant declared — contract type, length of service. Discrepancies are flagged for manual review.
Manually signed off
Landlord references never auto-publish. They appear on a passport only after our team reviews and approves the response.
Viewed on-platform
Passports are viewed on homepass.ie, never as emailed files that can be edited or faked.

Common questions

What does the Blue Tick mean?+

It means a member of the HomePass team has manually reviewed the tenant's identity documents, employment details, and supporting documents. It is an independent review, not a guarantee or endorsement — tenancy decisions always remain with the landlord or agent.

How much does HomePass cost for tenants?+

HomePass costs a one-off €35 verification fee. There is no subscription and nothing renews — after the single payment your verified Passport stays live and shareable. Verification is the only thing you ever pay for: once verified, the property marketplace — browsing live rental listings and applying — is included at no extra cost.

Who can see my details on the Tenant Marketplace?+

The marketplace is optional, and you have two separate passports. If you opt in, professionals see an anonymised search card and can open your Anonymous HomePassport — your verified credentials with your identity structurally excluded: never your name, photo, date of birth, contact details, or documents. Your Live HomePassport is the fuller version you share yourself with a specific landlord via your personal link — you control every field, with contact details and date of birth hidden by default. Pause either at any time.

How are references actually verified?+

Employer responses are cross-referenced against the details you declared — contract type, length of service — and any discrepancy is flagged for manual review. Landlord references only appear on your passport after the HomePass team has reviewed and signed them off.

Can we apply as a couple or group?+

Yes. You can invite a partner, family member, or friend as a renting partner — they accept the invite, and once every linked member is Blue Tick verified, landlords see you as one household on the Tenant Marketplace with a combined household income range. Your relationship and any children are shown only if every linked member chooses to enable it in their settings — otherwise they stay private. Each person keeps their own account and verification, and either of you can unlink at any time.

The queue is long. Your application doesn't have to be.
